When PTI leader Fawad Chowdhury appealed to the Lahore High Court to stop the ‘repression’ at Zaman Park, Justice Tariq Salim Sheikh ordered the adjournment of the operation till 10 am tomorrow. Earlier, Lahore High Court Justice Tariq Salim Sheikh asked Inspector General of Punjab, Chief Secretary and Chief of Operations of Islamabad Police to appear before the court by 3 pm.

The Islamabad police operation which started on Tuesday to arrest former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan was intensified on Wednesday morning. Islamabad police went to Lahore to arrest Imran with arrest warrant in Toshakhana case. Earlier, Imran Khan managed to avoid arrest several times in warrant cases.

The Islamabad police faced huge hurdles in going to Lahore. PTI workers pelted stones at the police, who fired tear gas to disperse them. On Wednesday, following the orders of the Lahore High Court, the police moved from Zaman Park to Mall Road.
