The All India Football Federation has announced the schedule for this year’s Super Cup. The competition will start from April 3. This time the entire competition will be held in Kerala. A total of 16 teams from ISL and I-League will play in the main phase of the Super Cup. The team that wins the Super Cup will also get a chance to play in the Asian competition.

11 teams of ISL and 10 teams of I-League will get a chance to play in this competition. 11 teams of ISL will play directly in the main stage. Roundglass Punjab FCO, the last I-League winner, will play directly in the main stage. The second to eighth placed teams in the I-League will play a qualifying round. There will be a separate game between the ninth and tenth placed teams in the I-League. The team that wins that game will get a chance to play the rest of the teams in the qualifying round. That is, a total of 8 teams will play the qualification round. From there the first 4 teams will get a chance in the main round. The qualifying round will begin on April 3. The main stage play will start from April 8.
Whoever wins the Super Cup will get a chance to play in the AFC Cup. For that, however, they have to play against last time I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC. The winning team will qualify for the AFC Cup from the South Zone group.

16 teams are divided into four groups. Group AContains, Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Roundglass Punjab FC. Second-placed Srinidhi Deccan in the I-League will play against the winner of the game between the ninth (Rajasthan United) and tenth (Mohammedan Sporting) teams. Whoever wins that match will be the fourth team in this group.

Group BContains Hyderabad FC, Odisha FC, East Bengal. Apart from this, the winner of the game between the team placed fourth (Trou) and the team placed seventh (Aizawl) in the I-League will be the fourth team in this group.
Group Chas ATK Mohun Bagan, Jamshedpur FC, FC Goa. Also, the winner of the match between the third (Gokulam Kerala) team and the eighth (Neroka) team in the I-League will be the fourth team in the group.
Group DContains Hyderabad Mumbai City FC, Chennaiyin FC, North East United FC. Also, the winner of the game between the fifth (Real Kashmir) and sixth (Churchill Brothers) team in the I-League will be the fourth team in the group.
