Maulana Azad said in the press conference that they have confirmed sighting of the moon in areas like Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Swabi, Qila Saifullah and Mardan.
Every year, Ramadan usually starts and ends in Pakistan on the same day as the rest of the South Asian countries. However, the moon was not seen on Wednesday in Bangladesh-India this year. As a result, the month of Ramadan is expected to start in these countries from Friday.

However, the month of Ramadan has started from Thursday in almost all countries of the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia. The United Arab Emirates Moon Sighting Committee also said that since the moon was not sighted on Tuesday, the month of Ramadan will start from Thursday in the country.
