Police will not go to Imran Khan’s residence until the scheduled matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) are over, the media reported, quoting police officials.

A video shared on PTI’s official Twitter account showed the PTI chief coming out of his residence wearing a mask and meeting PTI workers after the police withdrew.

Earlier, a large number of Punjab Rangers went to Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence to implement the court order following the failure of the police to arrest the PTI chairman. The incident took place after the police fired tear gas in the area to disperse the PTI workers.

Hospital sources told Geo News that at least 54 policemen and 8 civilians were injured in the ongoing clashes since yesterday.

PTI supporters repeatedly clashed with the police throughout the night as they tried to arrest Imran Khan. Law enforcement forces have also arrested some PTI activists.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said the policemen who went to Zaman Park were unarmed and wanted a civil war in the PTI-led country. The government has nothing to do with his arrest.
