Police have arrested many supporters and associates of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in raids in Pakistan’s Islamabad and Lahore. The country’s police said that they are conducting an operation to arrest PTI workers who clashed with the police in Lahore recently. Reuters news.

Police went to Imran’s Lahore residence to arrest him on a court-issued arrest warrant last week, but PTI workers who had surrounded the party chairman’s house blocked the police and clashed with the police, who later clashed with police when Imran appeared in an Islamabad court on Saturday.
PTI leader Fawad Chowdhury said, ‘About 285 PTI supporters have been arrested from Islamabad and Lahore. Police raided the houses of all the important leaders (of PTI) last night.’
Police in Lahore and Islamabad confirmed the raid and arrest of PTI activists. They claimed that these workers were involved in clashes with the police and arson.
Islamabad Police spokesperson said that 198 PTI workers have been arrested so far for their involvement in arson and attacks on police.
