  • 1 liter of full cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup of mango puree
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 5-6 threads of saffron
  • 6-7 pistachios (chopped)
  • 4-5 almonds (chopped)


  • Boil milk until thickened. It must be reduced until it is half the volume. It will take about an hour.
  • Add sugar to the condensed milk and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add chopped dry fruits like pistachios and almonds.
  • Add cardamom and turmeric powder, turn off the heat and let it cool. For this mix in mango puree.
  • Pour this mixture into a bowl and keep it in the fridge for some time. Once it has reached the desired texture, the aam rabdi is ready.
