West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is sitting on dharna in India’s capital Delhi. He will sit on dharna in front of the BR Ambedkar statue in Delhi on March 29 and 30 to protest against the state not giving due money in various sectors. The Chief Minister said this while standing at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on his way to Odisha on Tuesday (March 21).
He complained that even after working for 100 days we did not get the due money. Housing scheme, road scheme – central government is not giving money for any project. The central government has withheld the money for the projects which have been completed here.

After that, the Chief Minister angrily said, “I myself informed the Prime Minister about this deprivation six months ago.” Then Union Home Minister Amit Shah came to West Bengal to hold a meeting. Then he was also informed about this. Besides, several letters have been given. Still the central government is not giving us the money we deserve.
Mamata also said that the state owes Rs 7,000 crore for the wages of workers for 100 days. The workers worked, but their wages were withheld by Delhi. Our total debt amount is 1 lakh 15 thousand crore rupees.

Alleging that West Bengal is being deprived, the Trinamool supremo said, I have got the certificate in the international field. Even then, why be a victim of deprivation? I will sit on dharna in protest against the deprivation of Bengal, against the humiliation of Bengal and against the central government’s bias-dictatorship. I will sit on dharna as the Chief Minister of West Bengal in front of the Ambedkar statue in Delhi from 12 noon on March 29. Will continue till March 30 at 7 pm. Then the next steps will be decided.
