Yogi government asks for bail do oppose

Uttar Pradesh Additional Advocate General Garima Prasad opposed Mishra’s bail application. Against this plea for bail, Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave also said it would send the wrong message to society. According to Advocate Dushyant, it was a well-planned murder under a well-planned conspiracy. The billing statement proves this. He is the son of a powerful man and an influential lawyer is fighting his case. On the other hand, Ashish Mishra’s attorney, Mukul Rohatgi, has expressed a strong rejection of Dave’s argument.

Ashish Mishra was jailed for over a year

Ashish Mishra’s lawyer Rohatgi clearly said that Ashish Mishra was in judicial custody for more than a year. It will take about 7-8 years for the trial to take place in the lower courts. Complainant Jagjit Singh was not an eye witness in the case. His complaints were based solely on hearsay. .Ashish Mishra has no previous criminal record. The other defendants in this case have accepted that they destroyed the farmers without mercy. However, the FIR was registered on the testimony of the person, who was not an eyewitness to the incident.

What is the problem?

Significantly, on 3 October 2021, 8 people died in the violence in Tikunia Lakhimpur Kheri. Where 4 farmers, a driver, a journalist and two BJP workers were then beaten to death. By then, these protesting farmers had reached a protest against the rallies of Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. According to the UP Police FIR, Ashish Mishra was also sitting in the Thar SUV that hit 4 farmers.
