Dhaka: One person died in a fire in a building in Shahjadpur area under Gulshan police station in the capital. His name and address are not known.
On Sunday (February 19) at around 10 o’clock at night, the body of the person was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue in an ambulance of Banani Clinic.
Ashish Biswas, in charge of customer care of that clinic, said that we went to the spot with an ambulance after receiving the news of the fire. Later, the fire service people packed the body of a person in a bag and sent it to Dhaka Medical Center through us.
Dhaka Medical Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Bachchu Mia said that one person died in the fire in Gulshan. His body was brought to the hospital in an ambulance. He is about 30 years old. But there are no burn marks on his body. It is believed that he died after jumping from the building.
The fire service headquarters informed that the fire in the building in the capital Gulshan has not yet been brought under control. 19 units of fire service are trying to extinguish the fire and rescue the trapped people.
