Before distributing the cheques, State Minister Bangabandhu Krirasevi Kalyan Foundation gave a speech as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2023.
In the speech of the chief guest, the Minister of State for Youth and Sports said that we are continuously supporting the helpless, indigent and sick sportsmen. Our sports friendly Prime Minister is by our side like a shadow. He is generous to athletes and sports organizers. Today we are giving a monetary grant of Tk 76 lakh given by the Prime Minister and Tk 18 lakh 20 thousand for medical assistance to 21 indigent sportsmen on behalf of Bangabandhu Krirasevi Kalyan Foundation.
He also said that our cooperation is continuing for the sportsmen. The Prime Minister has already given a financial donation of Rs 60 crore to the Bangabandhu Krirasevi Kalyan Foundation established by Bangabandhu. I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister for taking the sports field forward in this way.
Leaders of various sports federations including senior officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and National Sports Council were present in the event.
