Bangladesh wins gold in Asia Cup Archery

Bangladesh won gold in the Asia Cup World Ranking Archery Tournament Stage-1 in Chinese Taipei.

Dia Siddiqui and Hakeem Ahmed Rubel’s Bangladesh team beat Kazakhstan 5-3 on set points in the recurve mixed doubles final on Sunday (March 19).

The pair of Hakeem Ahmed Rubel and the country’s best woman Archer Dia Siddiqui defeated Australia by 5-1 set points in the semi-finals and reached the final. Earlier, Bangladesh defeated Malaysia by 6-2 set points in the quarterfinals.

Bangladesh 9 member team participated in this tournament. Among the 10 events, Bangladesh participated in Recurve Men’s Singles, Recurve Women’s Singles, Recurve Men’s Team, Recurve Mixed Team, Compound Men’s Singles, Compound Women’s Singles and Compound Mixed Team events.
