Anil Antony – This is my personal decision
After leaving the Congress, Anil Antony told the media that this is my personal decision. I think this is the best course of action. I didn’t talk about it with my father. I have submitted my resignation and I hope the high command will accept it. I don’t think there is a place for me here in Congress. Let us inform you that Antony has announced to leave Congress in a tweet on Wednesday morning. In resigning, Anil said that there was pressure on me to delete my tweets.
Never supported the BJP in the BBC documentary controversy
Significantly, Anil Antony supported the BJP in the BBC’s controversial documentary about PM Modi. Anil said on Tuesday that those who support and accommodate the views of British broadcaster and former British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw are setting a dangerous precedent for Indian institutions. Because Jack Straw was the mastermind behind the 2003 Iraq War.
